Hello MelissaThank you for keeping me up to date with the progress of my order. It was refreshing to be contacted with information about the delays rather than having to chase up a never ending series of excuses. I was able to communicate this back to the scout committee for which the purchase was made.

In May 2011 we ordered a marquee and gazebo with other equipment at a cost of over £1200.00. We are a small diving business and needed the items for the season, to cut a long story short, we lost business to another company because the marquee didn’t turn up until the end of August and still parts of it were in Holland... the gazebo didn’t turn up until September we lost on site business at the harbour, the customer service was non existent we had to do all the emailing, phone calling and finding lost items if we could, they sent replacements eventually, and visa debit got some of our money back, Gala Tents will tell you they gave us our gazebo free of charge. big deal, we would rather have had it on time, so giving it to us FOC only proves they know they are in the wrong as Visa had already decided they were in the wrong. As a result we have lost business and when we told Gala Tents they didn’t care...as for the product it is good just the delivery and customer service leaves a lot to be desired, so be careful if you are ordering from them. It seems if all goes well the customer service is great, once things start going wrong they all hide. Good customer service is how they deal with problems when things go wrong isn’t it?

Gala Tent believe that the customer is key and we aim to provide the best possible service to each and everyone. Unfortunately in this instance Gala Tent were severely let down by the third partie courier service. I would like to take this opportunity to assure you that although the complaint revolves around a third partie who let Gala Tent down, we accept full responsibility and would like to assure you that a full complaint was made due to the unreliable service they displayed in this instance. I am happy however to inform you that after several meetings with the managing directors of this company we have not experienced anything but first class service since. Very pleased with service, Gala Tent is good too. Will be using it for a birthday party in 2 weeks & works out cheaper than hiring a marquee.
