Established in 1999, Gala Tent started out as a family business, supplying marquees purchased on a £2000 credit card, for the Millennium celebrations. The brand quickly grew a reputation for supplying high quality marquees at never-seen-before prices. Until then, marquees were seen as an aspirational symbol of luxury that were to be hired for grand scale events and celebrations. Weddings, awards ceremonies, and at Stately Homes. Gala Tent launched the party tent revolution, and within only a few years, we were doing it again. With the introduction of the Gala Shade Pro Gazebos, we quickly became the leading name in rapidly deployed outdoor temporary structures.

In the mid-2010s, co-owners and brothers-in-law Jason Mace and Mark Thompson, launched a series of subsidiary brands, in printing and branding experts Gala Graphics, motorsport specialists Gala Performance, and award winning FinTech firm, Gala Technology. These brands have enabled the firm to diversify, and take our products into new specialist areas, whilst introducing more exclusive, patent-protected products to each range.

In the covid-19 pandemic of 2020, the events and hospitality industry went into extended hibernation, and much of our customer base went with them. We faced an uncertain future, but the situation inspired us to once again diversify, and adapt to a rapidly changing landscape. By the end of the year, we had posted over 10% GROWTH over the previous year.

So, we like to think we know what we’re talking about when it comes to launching and maintaining a successful business. Gala Tent, and our products, have helped to launch the successful careers of dozens of Event Management professionals over the years, with many of them expanding well beyond being a sole trader.
