The Mace Group, the parent company of Gala Tent, was named Best Large Business 2024 at the Barnsley and Rotherham Business Awards. The award recognises companies with sustained growth, a reputation for quality, and a positive contribution to the regional economy and local communities.
Best Large Business at the Barnsley and Rotherham Business Awards
The ceremony was held at the Magna Science Adventure Centre in Rotherham. The win was reported by the Rotherham Advertiser, which noted the Manvers-based Mace Group among the Rotherham-rooted businesses recognised on the night.
CEO Jason Mace collected the award on behalf of the group, and said:
"This award highlights and recognises the continued growth of The Mace Group, which we're thrilled about. We were up against some excellent businesses, so being named the best large business in the region is an honour for all of us."
Apprentice recognition for Joshua Turver
The evening brought further recognition for the group. Joshua Turver, who joined The Mace Group in the IT department, was shortlisted for the Apprentice of the Year Award and received a Highly Commended certificate.
Reflecting on the recognition, Joshua said:
"Although the award went to a deserving candidate, this recognition is fantastic motivation. I've always wanted to change lives through positive work, and this encourages me to aim even higher."
