ARMED FORCES
Gala Tent are very proud supporters of and suppliers to
many parts of our nation’s great Armed Forces. From
motor racing awnings and pit perches to their
professional race teams, through flags and banners
during Armed Forces Day, and of course we have
supplied countless marquees and heavy duty gazebos
for use in many different applications, such as additional
kitchen tents, or canteens, or simple information tents at
events like country fairs.
We are a proud British company that has served our
nation for almost twenty one years, and have recently
signed our allegiance of official support by signing the
Armed Forces Covenant Pledge.
The Armed Forces Covenant represents a promise by
the nation that those who serve or have served, and their
families, are treated fairly. All 407 local authorities in
mainland Great Britain and 4 Northern Ireland councils
have pledged to uphold the Armed Forces Covenant,
and so has Gala Tent.
WHAT DOES THIS MEAN?
It means that Gala Tent recognises the value serving personnel, reservists, veterans and military families bring to our business. We will seek to uphold the principles of the Armed Forces Covenant, by:
• Promoting the fact that we are an armed
forces-friendly organisation;
• Seeking to support the employment of
veterans young and old and working with the
Career Transition Partnership (CTP), in order
to establish a tailored employment pathway
for Service Leavers
• Striving to support the employment of
Service spouses and partners
• Endeavouring to offer a degree of flexibility
in granting leave for Service spouses and
partners before, during and after a partner’s
deployment
• Seeking to support our employees who
choose to be members of the Reserve
forces, including by accommodating their
training and deployment where possible
• Offering support to our local cadet units,
either in our local community or in local
schools, where possible
• Aiming to actively participate in Armed
Forces Day
• Offering a discount to members of the
Armed Forces Community
