Reigate Christmas Market: A Gazebo Case Study
A case study in supplying durable, consistent pop-up gazebos for town markets, fayres and community events across the UK.
The Reigate Business Guild is a voluntary collective that champions the local business community. The Guild organises a range of events that promote small businesses and bring people together, including the town's Christmas Fayre, an occasion that retailers and shoppers look forward to each year.
For the Fayre, the Guild turned to Gala Tent to supply the pop-up market stalls that would house its traders. Darren Perry, Gala Tent's sales manager, worked with the Guild on the project, and said:
"Gala Tent has a long and proud history of supplying shelters to local councils and communities, who use our pop-up gazebos for all manner of trading opportunities to bring commerce and revenue to their area. Reigate Business Guild are a discerning operation and knew that only the best shelters would do justice to their efforts in bringing an amazing event to their town."
The Fayre drew a large crowd, reflecting the Guild's event planning and the presence of a consistent run of Pro 50 pop-up gazebos. Gala Tent supplied sixty heavy-duty Pro 50 gazebos with white canopies for the event.
As well as sheltering the stalls and their trading, the white canopies gave the market a uniform, tidy look across the town's setting. Jason Mace, CEO of Gala Tent, said:
"From Rotherham to Reigate, Gala Shade gazebos are renowned for their ability to withstand even the busiest spaces and regular use. I'm sure that these 60 structures will provide ample opportunities to generate revenue for the small businesses of the area and make every local event that they put on a storming success."

Because the gazebos are owned outright by the Guild, they can be reused across the calendar of events the town runs, from seasonal markets to summer activities. The Pro 50's commercial build is well suited to this kind of regular, high-traffic use.
The Pro 50 is built around 50mm hexagonal aluminium legs with profile aluminium joints and fixings, using 6061/T6 grade aluminium, the same grade used in our modular marquees. It is designed to stand up to demanding outdoor conditions and frequent assembly. The gazebo is backed by framework and fabric warranties, with a full range of replacement parts available, so a structure can be maintained over many seasons rather than replaced. You can check current warranty terms on the Pro 50 product page.
The Pro 50 is designed and developed in Britain and supplied as a buy-to-own structure, which gives an organiser full control over how and when the gazebos are used.
Reigate is one of many towns and cities that use Gala Shade Pro gazebos for their markets and events. Rotherham uses a combination of yellow and purple gazebos for its market days and for events such as the Rotherham Show at Clifton Park. Bolton took delivery of thirty printed Pro 50 gazebos for the town's events. Brixton's Electric Avenue market uses a consistent run of Pro 50s, and Barnsley's town centre and Glassworks complex uses its own range of Gala Shade Pro gazebos.
Supplying large numbers of matching structures, with free next working day delivery on stocked items, helps event organisers set up quickly and present a consistent look across a site.

Gala Tent has a long heritage of supplying structures to markets across the country, and has worked with organisations and initiatives in the sector, including support for the NMTF and NABMA and the Love Your Local Market campaign. We have built resources for market traders and for market operators looking for commercial-standard gazebos.
