Supporting Our Community: Gala Tent and Manvers Lake Trust

Gala Tent has teamed up with the Manvers and Dearne Valley Lake Trust, starting with the donation of a fully branded Pro 50 gazebo for events at their lakeside venue in Wath upon Dearne.

Gala Tent has teamed up with the Manvers and Dearne Valley Lake Trust, beginning with the donation of a branded 3m x 4.5m Gala Shade Pro 50 pop-up gazebo for the events held at the Trust's lakeside watersport venue in Wath upon Dearne, South Yorkshire.

The partnership gives the Trust a durable, all-weather shelter for its programme of community and fundraising events. In return, the Trust has given Gala Tent access to its lakeside site for ongoing product photography, providing a natural setting for our commercial gazebos and marquee ranges.

To recognise the arrangement, and to support the Trust's role in local community life, we supplied a fully branded Gala Shade Pro 50 customised in the Trust's colours.

Manvers Lake Trust Gazebo

The donation includes:

  • A branded blue 3m x 4.5m Pro 50 pop-up gazebo
  • A full sidewall set for all-weather protection
  • A heavy-duty wheeled storage bag for easy transport
  • A complete anchoring kit for safe setup on any surface
  • It is a professional-grade shelter built for repeated use, and it should serve the Trust's events for years to come.

First outing: dragonboat racing for Bluebell Wood

The gazebo's first outing was the Manvers Dragonboat Racing event, which raises funds for Bluebell Wood Children's Hospice, a local charity that cares for children and families facing life-limiting conditions.

We met Chris and Jo from the Manvers and Dearne Valley Lake Trust to hand over the kit. Our director, Andrew, ran through how to put the gazebo up and take it down safely, which helps keep it in good condition over the long term.

Chris from the Trust said: "We're so grateful, and we're always looking to build relationships with local businesses."

Ryan, Marketing Manager at Gala Tent, added: "We've been on the hunt for a gorgeous location for our product photography for a while, and we've had Manvers Lake on our doorstep all this time. We're excited about what this partnership could lead to, and we look forward to a long and prosperous relationship with the Trust."

During the visit we also photographed the INFL8 inflatable event shelter and our 3m x 3m Pro 60 gazebo against the lake.

    Frequently Asked Questions

    How quickly can you deliver?
Standard stock arrives in 2-3 working days. Express production is available on request.
Can the canopy and sidewalls be fully customised?
Yes. We can print the roof, valance, and sidewalls with your logo, colours, sponsor names, or event details. Many community groups use the sidewalls for information panels or sponsor recognition.
Are pop-up gazebos suitable for regular community event use?
Our Pro 50 and Pro 60 ranges are built for repeated commercial use rather than occasional garden use. With correct setup, anchoring, and storage, they are designed to last across many seasons of events.
How do I anchor a gazebo safely on grass and hard ground?
On grass, use ground stakes or pegs through the leg plates. On hard surfaces such as tarmac or paving, use weight plates or weighted feet, as pegs cannot be driven in. A full anchoring kit covers both. Always secure the gazebo before leaving it unattended, and take it down in high winds.
Do you donate or offer support to local organisations?
We have a long history of supporting schools, charities, councils, and clubs across South Yorkshire and beyond. If you are a community organisation, get in touch to discuss how we can help.
What size gazebo should a community group choose?
A 3m x 3m suits a single stall or shelter point. A 3m x 4.5m or 3m x 6m gives room for seating, refreshments, or a registration desk at larger events. Think about how many people need to shelter at once and the space available at your venue.
