New for 2026: Transparent and White PVC Gazebo Canopies
Gala Tent has introduced two new PVC canopy and sidewall finishes for the Gala Shade pop-up gazebo range. Both are new for 2026, and both are introductory additions to the range.
There are no new frames. Every canopy and sidewall in the new PVC finishes fits the Gala Shade gazebo frames you already own, in the matching size, across the Pro Compact, Pro 40, Pro 50 and Pro 60. They are not compatible with gazebos from other retailers.
Each finish now has its own category page: transparent gazebos for the clear option, and PVC gazebos for the white. This article covers what each one is, what it is for, and how to choose between them.
Transparent PVC: shelter without losing the daylight
The transparent canopy is made from 22 micron, 290gsm PVC. The roof is fully transparent apart from a white valance around the perimeter, and the sidewalls are fully transparent apart from a lower stripe where the ground bar sleeve sits.
The practical effect is a gazebo you can shelter under without shutting the light out, and without shutting the view out either. Standing inside one, you still see the whole space around you.
That suits a few situations in particular:
- outdoor dining and hospitality, where a solid canopy makes a covered area feel closed in
- retail and display, where products need to be seen from outside the stall
- events where sightlines matter and staff need to keep eyes on what is going on around them
- covered growing space and plant protection over the warmer months
The transparent canopy has a cold resistance down to minus 30 degrees Celsius.
Transparent gazebos by frame and size
The transparent canopy runs across four frames, though not every frame carries every size. The 3m x 3m Pro 40 transparent gazebo is the lightest and the usual starting point.
- Gala Shade Pro 40: 3m x 3m, 3m x 4.5m, 3m x 6m
- Gala Shade Pro Compact: 3m x 3m
- Gala Shade Pro 50: 3m x 3m, 3m x 4.5m, 3m x 6m
- Gala Shade Pro 60: 3m x 3m
The Pro 40 uses a hexagonal 42mm leg, 50mm measured corner to corner. The Pro 50 steps up to a 50mm leg, 60mm corner to corner, with profile aluminium joints rather than cast. One thing to be clear about: the transparent canopy is not fire retardant. If you are trading at a market, festival, school or exhibition, check the organiser's requirements before you buy, because many venues specify fire-retardant covers as a condition of entry. Where a fire-retardant cover is required, the white PVC canopy below is the one to choose.
White PVC: a harder-wearing, wipe-clean finish
The white PVC canopy is a heavier specification at 46 micron and 580gsm. It is fire retardant and UV protected, with an operating range from minus 30 up to 70 degrees Celsius.
The finish is crisper and cleaner than a standard fabric canopy, and it wipes down rather than needing washing. For anyone whose gazebo goes up and down every weekend and spends its life around dust, oil, food or drink, that matters more than it sounds.
It suits working environments:
- motorsport paddocks and race weekends
- market stalls and street trading
- pub gardens and outdoor hospitality
- exhibitions and promotional events where presentation counts
White PVC gazebos by frame and size
White PVC is supplied in white only, and it reaches further across the range than the transparent finish. The 3m x 3m Pro 40 white PVC gazebo is the entry point, and the ladder runs all the way up to the 6m x 6m Vantage.
Which one should you choose?
If your priority is light and being able to see out, choose transparent. If your priority is a hard-wearing, easy-clean canopy, or your venue requires a fire-retardant cover, choose white PVC.
Compatibility
Both finishes fit the existing Gala Shade frames in the corresponding size, so if you already own a Gala Tent gazebo you can change the look of it without replacing the frame. Canopies and sidewall sets are sold separately from the frame, and the transparent and white PVC options can be mixed with the rest of the range.

They will not fit gazebos bought elsewhere. The Gala Shade frame geometry is trademark and patent protected, and covers are cut to it.
