Super Mace to the Rescue: The Legend of Gala Tent's Professional Grade Hero
Every fete has its villain. In Little Grimsdale it's Storm Gary, a crowned and very cross storm cloud who hates summer events and everything that keeps people dry. Standing in his way is Super Mace, a man on a mission to provide the world with professional grade shelter.

The Story So Far
It's 11am at the Little Grimsdale village fete, and the forecast says sunny intervals. Jason Mace is admiring a Victoria sponge that has won best in show three years running when a storm cloud wearing a crown rolls in over the field. Storm Gary has been waiting.
One blast of wind and the fete's cheap gazebos fold like deckchairs. A nine-quid gazebo crumples over the baking stall, and a grandmother and two children are left stranded at the top of a five-level stage with a broken canopy between them and the rain.
Jason straps a Gala Shade Pro 60 to his back, picks up a hammer and starts climbing. Storm Gary throws bins, cones and deckchairs at him all the way up. At the top, Super Mace swaps the nine-pound wreck for a professional grade Gala Tent gazebo. Up, out, snap.
Gary sends his biggest gust yet. The gazebo doesn't so much as wobble. By 2:15pm the sun is out, the fete is back on and Jason has a slice of the winning sponge. Storm Gary slinks off over the hills, promising four more events to ruin. He returns in issue #2.
Who Is Super Mace?
Super Mace is the comic book alter ego of Jason Mace, co-CEO of Gala Technology, the company behind Gala Tent. His superpower is getting a gazebo up before the first drop lands, and his mission is to provide the world with professional grade shelter.
The real hero of every Super Mace story is the kit. The Gala Shade Pro 60 is the strongest gazebo in the Gala Tent range, built for traders, event teams and organisers whose day can't stop when the weather turns. Like every Gala Shade frame, it carries a waterproof, fire-retardant PVC-coated polyester canopy. If your events see more Storm Garys than sunny intervals, start with our heavy duty gazebos and waterproof gazebos, and read our guide on how to secure a gazebo in high winds.
