Gala Tent Is Now Accredited to ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001

Gala Tent holds full accreditation across the three standards that matter most to the organisations we supply: ISO 9001 for quality management, ISO 14001 for environmental management, and ISO 45001 for occupational health and safety. Our July 2026 assessment returned zero non-conformities across all three.

What the Three Standards Cover

ISO 9001, quality management

ISO 9001 governs how we manage processes, records, supplier performance and customer feedback, and it commits us to continuous improvement instead of a fixed standard held in place. We first secured it in 2025, and you can read our original ISO 9001 quality commitment for the background.

ISO 14001, environmental management

ISO 14001 requires us to identify the environmental impacts of what we do and then reduce them, with measurable objectives and evidence that we are meeting them. It sits alongside our published environmental policy.

ISO 45001, occupational health and safety

ISO 45001 covers hazard identification, risk assessment, incident reporting and the training that keeps our people safe at work, in the warehouse, on the road and on site.

Why We Went Further After ISO 9001

We secured ISO 9001 a year ago. The effect on the business was significant enough that we decided not to stop there.

Over the past twelve months we have built a fully Integrated Management System that brings quality, environmental and health and safety management together into one framework. One set of processes, one document control system, one audit programme, one improvement register. Environmental and safety considerations now sit inside the same decisions that govern quality, which is where they belong.

That integration is the reason our environmental and safety accreditations arrived with the same rigour behind them as our quality accreditation, and not as a bolt-on.

Health and Safety: Every Member of Staff, Trained

All of our staff are trained in health and safety awareness. That is the baseline the system runs on. Hazards get reported by the people closest to them, near misses are logged and investigated, and corrective actions are tracked through to closure.

Our target is zero incidents. We treat every reported near miss as a chance to prevent one, and we would rather hear about a hundred small things than miss a single serious one.

That same thinking shapes what we publish for customers, including our guidance on gazebo safety for UK event organisers and how to secure a gazebo in high winds.

Environment: Reducing Our Footprint, Decision by Decision

All of our staff are also trained in environmental awareness, because the footprint of a business is the sum of a very large number of small choices made by individuals.

We are committed to reducing our carbon footprint. In practice that means:

  • Reducing the energy we use across our sites and operations
  • Making conscious purchasing decisions, including working with environmentally sound suppliers
  • Specifying accredited and recycled or recyclable materials in our consumables, including our paper
  • Building a carbon footprint assessment that gives us a measured baseline to improve against
  • Reviewing waste, packaging and transport as part of our environmental aspects and impacts analysis

None of that is a one-off exercise. Under ISO 14001 the objectives are set, measured, audited and reset. It also runs alongside the work we have described in framing the future of sustainable events in the UK.

Continuous Improvement Is the Point

The part of ISO 9001 that changed us most is the requirement to look inward. We audit our own processes, we raise non-conformances against ourselves, and we act on them.

A recent internal audit found that our performance management reviews were not being delivered at the frequency we had committed to. We raised a corrective action, redesigned the process around a schedule our managers can actually deliver, and built it into the management system. That is what a working system looks like from the inside.

What This Means If You Are Choosing a Supplier

For procurement teams, event organisers, local authorities, contractors and any organisation with a supply chain policy of its own, accreditation answers questions that a sales conversation cannot:

  • Our quality processes are independently audited against ISO 9001
  • Our environmental management is independently audited against ISO 14001
  • Our health and safety management is independently audited against ISO 45001
  • Our most recent external assessment recorded zero non-conformities
  • Our certificates are published above and can be attached to a tender straight away

If your tender or approved supplier process requires certified suppliers, we meet that requirement across all three disciplines, whether you are buying commercial gazebos, commercial marquees, construction and work shelters or printed gazebos.

Yes. All Gala Tent staff receive health and safety awareness training and environmental awareness training as part of the Integrated Management System, with refreshers scheduled through the management system.

Working With a Supplier That Holds Itself to Account

The standards tell us what we have to do. The improvement culture we have built over the past two years is what decides how far past that we go.

For any organisation looking for a supplier that is relentless in its pursuit of all round excellence, in the quality of the product, in the safety of the people who make and handle it, and in the environmental cost of getting it to you, Gala Tent is that supplier.

Speak to our team about your requirements, or download the certificates above for your supplier approval process.
